Garden of Eatin' 
 
Michelle Slaughter, Director

Tasty meals roll out of the kitchen daily with food service director Michele Slaughter at the helm of the Garden of Eatin’. Beginning in 1996 as dishwasher and baker, Michele graduated to head cook and then food service director in 1999. A parent of two Holy Spirit students, she has an associate degree in communications, but feels her waitress work probably best prepared her for the job at hand. Michele loves “the ‘spirit’ of family and the presence of God in this school.”
 
Katy Giles, Head cook

Katy Giles and her family moved to Great Falls in 2006. Though trained as a dental assistant, Katy says she likes working in Holy Spirit’s Garden of Eatin’ because it gives her “the ability to support the friendly family atmosphere that is a crucial part of the Holy Spirit education.” Sports enthusiasts all, she and her family love spending time together snow skiing, water skiing, wakeboarding and hiking.

 
Sandi Wilson, Assistant cook

Assistant cook Sandi Wilson is no stranger to the Garden of Eatin’. Though she began her duties as assistant cook two days a week in 2007, she filled in when necessary the prior school year. Sandi’s children attend Holy Spirit, and she says, “I love the people and children that come to Holy Spirit. It feels like home.” Sewing, stamping, knitting and reading round out her at-home activities. She also loves to cook at home and enjoys throwing dinner parties. And her degree in Speech and Language Pathology is always in her pocket if she needs to pull it out!
